This website was built in a couple of hours. Later, it was redesigned and rebuilt over a few days. The webmaster didn't do that alone: they relied on a number of helpful resources, kindly listed below. You can set up and maintain your own website at little to no cost with little to no html knowledge. You should try it, it's great.
- This website is hosted by neocities.org: a free, independent web hosting service that attempts to fill the gap that the murder of GeoCities left in the internet ecosystem. I'm very grateful to them! All I needed to register was an e-mail address, which I got from tutanota.com. They're a free e-mail provided that DOESN'T scan your e-mails to spy on you like Google does. No, really, google does that, it's gross. Now I had a website, I could do anything!
- I used my rudimentary CSS and HTML knowledge (gained by messing around with templates and borrowing other people's code) to make the version of the site you're looking at now. I did my initial editing in codepen.io, which is a website that lets you edit code and see the results live. Like I said, I have a rudimentary knowledge of html and css: W3Schools' tutorials and how-to's were very helpful as a cheat sheet.
- As for the handsome bit of ASCII text in the header? That came courtesy of pator-jk's handy ASCII art app. The ASCII font is 3D-ASCII.
- And that was that! I had pretty much everything I needed to launch this website DIRECTLY TO YOU. So now you know how easy and cheap it is, YOU should start your own website. It might take you a while to figure out how to make things look pretty but it's very doable.
PS: Oh yeah....and credit to Belfield FM for taking a chance on the show, all the people who listen for bothering to tune in, all the people who send stuff in for being glorious gods and especially to all the BANDS and MUSICIANS who made all the tasty tasty music I play on the show. Without you I'm nothing. But then with you I'm still pretty much nothing...
